In Switzerland, translation is charged per line and the price depends on many factors, such as language pair, area of expertise, level of difficulty, lead time and the client’s budget.
For the most popular language pairs such as German-English, German-French and German-Italian, our rates per line (50 characters long each) usually range between CHF 0.9 and CHF 5.1. If the delivery time is really short, you have to take into account a surcharge of 20% to 50%.
It is advisable to state your expected delivery date already when you request our price quote. Once we receive the files and determine the scope and difficulty level of the translation project, we can immediately inform you if your expected deadline is practicable or not and issue you a binding order confirmation.
